AFC Stockport finished their pre-season with a 2-0 win at Richmond Rovers. The scoreline should have been a lot greater with Rick Williams missing three glorious chances to add to his double he notched. Richmond Rovers had one effort on target for the whole 90 minutes, keeper, Jason Hughes also signed on with AFC to become the first ever official father and son pairing with son, Jamie to be signed on for the club. Man of the Match, Matt Skinner is growing every game, along with his back four. Ben Higgs completed his 100th game for the club in what was very much a training ground fixture. A game which should have been put to bed earlier for the visitors but Richmond continued to press and never gave in, always looking to get something out of the game.
