In the evening game kick off at 6pm, AFC Stockport officially launched their Reserve team.

This was a game that Chairman and 1st team manager,Lee Humphries could have a serious look at the players who will be available at the club.

Both teams competed well and both had spells of the game. As expected the first’s were slightly sharper than the Reserves and showed what standards the Reserves now need t o push towards. With some excellent movement from the Reserves they posed more of a threat than some Third Division teams currently playing in the Stockport District Sunday Football League.

Reserve manager, Mark Douglas will no doubt be happy with the players to choose. The Reserves have some very composed players and to compete well for 90 minutes against the established AFC Stockport first team, it was credit to them.

The game itself was always in first teams grasp and the Third Division outfit took control early on.

This will no doubt be a good competitive club to play in right now, with the ambitions of AFC Stockport and what they want to achieve here, along with the collection of talented players in the first and reserves...it surely is only happy times ahead.

This game had plenty efforts and some good passing and moves,a good work out for the firsts who had all played in a gruelling cup match a few hours earlier and a good night for the Reserves to learn more about themselves.
